Tom After our visit to Wellington, we headed back north and stopped by Heavenly Pasta – a pasta joint in Bulls, New Zealand. The interesting thing about the city of Bulls is that there are not only many statues of Bulls all about town…
But also “corny” signs such as this…
Where “Social-A-Bull” refers to the city’s Town Hall and “Read-A-Bull” refers to the city’s library. Love the character in this town. On a related note, do keep to the speed limits as we were given a speeding ticket for driving at 60km/h on a 50 km/h road. Stay safe!
Inside Heavenly Pasta Bulls New Zealand
Upon entry into Heavenly Pasta, we found that we had entered into a locally operated restaurant. There was no frills, just simple decor within. Items of the menu were also handwritten using chalk on a blackboard. This time, we ordered the Mushroom Tagliatelle ($13.5) and the Tomato and Artichoke Fettuccine ($15) – the latter because it reminded us of our time in Monterey. We also added bacon to both pasta at $3 each. A Flat White ($5.5) rounded up the meal.

To be real honest, we thought the pasta were ok. Perhaps it was because we had one of the best pastas with Jamie’s – that our expectations of Tagliatelle was rather high. Nonetheless, of the 2 pasta, we found the Tomato and Artichoke Fettucine to be a little too watery and enjoyed the creamy and cheesy tagliatelle more.
