Tom Oasia Hotel Downtown was our next staycation destination due to excellent location right in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD). Oasia Downtown’s location allowed us to visit CapitaSpring, have another meal Keisuke Tonkotsu King and just be a tourist in the Central Business District! Just before our stay at CapitaSpring…
As check-in was at 12pm, we decided to do a little “side-trip” before heading to Oasia Hotel Downtown. This time, we headed first to CapitaSpring to enjoy the views over the whole of Singapore. If you don’t already know, the Sky Garden (highest observatory in Singapore) and Garden Oasis at CapitaSpring are free to the public on week days!
From there, we stopped by Flash Coffee in the CBD area and tried the Melaka Latte which was rich, aromatic and had that tinge of Southeast Asian vibe to it. Simply excellent. Now we understand why coffee joints in CBD are all the rage these days…
Armed with our shot of espresso, we ventured on to our destination…Oasia Hotel Downtown! It was actually quite fun to stroll from CapitaSpring to Oasia Downtown through the CBD. Dressed in T-shirt and jeans, we were like the really odd ones out. Yet, it was rather nice to rediscover another side of Singapore that we’d otherwise not have done.
But first! Lunch! And what better way to kick off our staycation at Oasia Hotel Downtown, then to re-visit Keisuke Tonkotsu King for their Original Tonkotsu Ramen (just next door)?
As always, the meal was so satisfying! The rich tonkotsu soup base and the ramen (cooked to your liking) was simply slurpilicious. If you’re wondering, the free flow eggs and beansprouts are still available. We also ordered the black spicy tonkotsu special this time that came with additional meat, soft boiled eggs, seaweed, black fungus and spring onions. The additional ingredients were well worth it but as for the soup, it was too peppery and we’d still stick to the original for future visits. Then, it was check-in time…
Oasia Hotel Downtown Club Room Review
Upon arrival at Oasia Hotel Downtown, we were asked our names for the reservation. Once verified, we were led to the lift for our check-in at level 21 of Oasia Hotel Downtown…
As our room was not ready as yet, we headed to the pool to swim. There are 2 swimming pools at Oasia Hotel Downtown – the other is the main pool located at level 27. Though located at a higher level, the views from the Club Floor infinity is infinitely better…
Originally, we were thinking of grabbing some drinks from the Club Lounge while waiting for our room to be ready. Unfortunately, sanitation of the Club Lounge was ongoing and we had to wait for an hour before the sanitation was complete. While it’s a good sign that the hotel does a complete sanitation. However, 1 hour was definitely way too long. Nonetheless, we managed to get some drinks and snacks, swim a little more and play a couple of Scrabble games before checking out of Club Room at Oasia Hotel Downtown!
The Club Room of Oasia Hotel Downtown had all the frills that you’d expect. There was a bath tub, rainshower, cable TV, a sliver of sea view and as part of the Club Room Benefit, a fully stocked fridge…
The other thing that we like about the Oasia Downtown Club Room is the bath tub! It is pretty large (by Singapore standards) and has a sliding door that allows you to watch TV while soaking in the tub. There’s even a built-in speaker in the bath room to make sure you don’t miss a scene from your favourite movie! Soon, it was time to return to the Club Lounge for cocktail hours…

What we really like about the Club Lounge was its ambience and play list! Here, you can choose a comfortable sofa seat, enjoy a double shot latte and take in the views from the 21st storey of Oasia Hotel Downtown. Soon…it was time for Happy Hours…
If there’s one complain that we have, it is that you can only have one serving of the canapes during the Happy Hours at Oasia Hotel Downtown Club Lounge! This came as a real shocker to us! 😱 The three items you see in the photo was pretty much it. Nonetheless, the alcoholic choices were still quite respectable…
There were red wines (including Cabernet Sauvignon), white wines (including Sauvignon Blanc), beers (including Carlsberg, Heineken, Tiger) as well as Spirits (including Vodka, Rum, Gin, Whisky). You can also ask for mixes with the Spirits. In addition, the wines had a rather “heavy pour” which sorta makes up for the canape issue. But still, one serving? Hm…🤔
From the Club Floor, we were also able to see the beautiful hues of the clouds as the sun set that evening…
After Happy Hours ended, we brought out a couple of beers to chill by the pool outdoors. The light music continued and it was cool yet relaxing to continue the Happy Hours outside. After finishing up our drinks, we grabbed some bites from 7-11 across the road and returned to our room, watching movies and Bear Grylls battling the wild with celebrities.

Oasia Hotel Downtown Gym and Swimming Pool
The next morning, we woke up at 7am to check out the gym at Oasia Hotel Downtown. Located at level 12, you’ll walk past a beautiful open space (Sky Terrace) before reaching the gym…
The gym at Oasia Hotel Downtown is actually rather small. There are only a couple of treadmills, a set of free weights as well as a one multi-purpose gym machine. That’s about it. Towels, sanitation and Solar Power are also available here. Small, but gets the job done. We also got to check out the swimming pool at level 27…
Breakfast at Oasia Hotel Downtown
For Club Room guests, you can choose to have breakfast at the Marmalade Pantry (level 1) or at the Club Lounge. We decided to experience the ambience at Marmalade Pantry this time…
Breakfast Options include:
– Butter Milk Stacked Pancakes
– Healthy Toasts
– TMP Breakfast Platter
– Hong Kong Boat Porridge
The downside of dining here is that you can only choose one of the 4 options. Additional portions cost $15++. Not sure if the same applies at Club Lounge as we were quite full after breakfast and only headed up for gourmet coffee. If you have tried the breakfast at the Club Lounge, do let us know if you can have more than one option. The coffee at TMP in the mornings were 😒
The breakfast wasn’t really fantastic. But if we were to choose, we prefer the Hong Kong Boat Porridge which had quite alot of fried dough (youtiao). Oh, we also found that the Club Lounge serves croissant which was not available at TMP. Perhaps dining at Club Lounge was better afterall.

Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy a late check-out. That gave us time to check out the Market Street Hawker Centre at CapitaSpring and thereafter, head to Marina Bay to buy Swarovski to celebrate our anniversary!
