Upon stepping into Burger Burger Takapuna Auckland, we waited for a while before being shown to our seats. Within, the decorations were modern with Vietnamese-inspired lamps. Reminded us of the Non La seats at Intercontinental Danang. This time, we chose a window seat with views of passers-by at the eateries at Takapuna.

First, the Double Beef and Cheese Burger ($25). We went for the classics assess whether the burgers at Burger Burger are as good as they say. The humble beef burger will be able to tell us more. As expected, the Double Beef and Cheese Burger from Burger Burger didn’t disappoint. The beef patty was tender and juicy, exuding the rich beefy flavours that we enjoy. The single patty was $18 while the double patty was $25. Hence, the double patty beef and cheese burger is a great value. The pickles and sauce amped up the flavours for a supercharged and delicious cheeseburger. Yum!

Next, the Fish Beer Battered Burger ($20). We first took a bite of the fish patty and it was good even by itself. The key is in the batter. Crispy yet locking the flavours of the fish within. That tartare and the vegetables came well together. The Pilsner complemented both burgers well, with its hoppy flavours – resembling a refreshing hoppy lager.

All in all, we totally enjoyed our visit to Burger Burger Auckland. Definitely one of the better burgers we’ve had during our trip to New Zealand this time. Both the cheeseburger and fish beer battered burgers were excellent.
