Plaza Premium Lounge Terminal 1 Singapore Changi Airport Review

After visiting Dnata Lounge at T1 of Changi Airport, we headed to Plaza Premium Lounge to continue our review of all the airport lounges in Singapore Changi International Airport! Plaza Premium Lounge is 24 hours operated airport lounge.

The following are some general information provided by the Priority Pass App. It is recommended to download the Priority Pass App if you intend to visit some airport lounges as it is typically more updated than the website itself. Plus, if you need directions to a particular Priority Pass lounge, there’s a nifty little map embedded within the app to guide you there as well (internet access required to use the app).

It was relatively easy to locate Plaza Premium Lounge and when we arrived, there was actually a small crowd waiting to get in. Remember to have your Priority Pass card and boarding pass ready and you’ll be checked-in relatively quickly.

First impressions of Plaza Premium Lounge was that it felt spacious and modern…

We liked the individual hexagonally-shaped cubicles that allows travellers to eat in private or use it as a business pod. Each cubicle comes with a little desk lamp and universal power outlet, complete with USB ports. Really convenient for plugging in laptops or just charging a small handphone, camera or battery pack.

It is also one of the few airport lounges that have the complete suite of business-related amenities such as faxes and conference facilities.

The food options at Plaza Premium Lounge was pretty extensive. There’s not only a buffet area, there’s also a couple of set meals (such as soba set) that you can order from the chefs as well. In terms of alcoholic drinks, hard liquors, wines and beers were available. In particular, Dester beer (premium lager brewed in Korea) was available on tap! 🤤

There’s a queue system for showers at Plaza Premium Lounge. All you have to do is grab one of the beepers and once the next shower becomes available, you’ll be notified by the buzz/vibration on the beepers. We didn’t have to wait this time as there were cubicles that were available. The shower cubicles were clean and dry. Refreshing hot showers here.

There are sleeping suites available at Plaza Premium Lounge. However, they are on a pay-per-use basis. Prices are listed as follows:

Plaza Premium Lounge is a great overall lounge. Great for business, chilling out (draft Dester beer!), one of the better shower facilities and nifty little private hexagonal pods. Though the quality of food was not that great, it makes up with a great variety of selection.
