TGM Priority Pass Lounge Review @ Terminal 2: This is not really a lounge…

If you are a member of Priority Pass, you’d probably come across TGM under the list of lounges available at Terminal 2 of Singapore Changi Airport. Previously known as The Green Market, TGM is actually a restaurant that Priority Pass members can access. Hence, it is not a typical “airport lounge” that we are more accustomed to…

The following are some general information provided by the Priority Pass App. It is recommended to download the Priority Pass App if you intend to visit some airport lounges as it is typically more updated than the website itself. Plus, if you need directions to a particular Priority Pass lounge, there’s a nifty little map embedded within the app to guide you there as well (internet access required to use the app).

Opening Hours: 06:00 to 01:00 daily

Lounge Facilities:
– Air conditioning (don’t ask us why they’ve listed this in – maybe there are airports around the world without A/C?) 🤨
– Disabled Access
– Conference
– DMC Access (i.e. Digital Access)
– Newspapers
– No Smoking
– Alcohol
– Refreshments
– TV
– Wi-Fi

Location: Airside of Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2. Main Departure Lounge, Level 3.

Conditions:
– Children under 2 years are admitted free
– All children must be accompanied by an adult
– Smart casual dress at all times

Alcoholic drinks are subject to payment

As mentioned earlier, TGM IS NOT A LOUNGE. It is a restaurant. Hence, the reason why you would use a Priority Pass access here would be because of the quality of food. As compared to buffet quality food offered at the rest of the lounges, TGM definitely is a notch above. Hence, if you have unlimited access to Priority Pass lounges, you’d probably want to drop in for a bite before chilling out at the lounge, while waiting for your flight out.

As with other Priority Pass lounges, all you have to do is present your Priority Pass Card as well as your boarding pass and you’re good to go. Before you get seated, you’ll be ask to choose your choice of set meal. So what set meals are available at TGM (T2 Singapore Changi Airport)?

These are the choices available for selection at TGM (via Priority Pass):

1. Sashimi Bento Set
– An assortment of fresh sashimi served with miso soup and steamed rice

2. Salmon Butteryaki Bento Set
– Pan-fried salmon cooked with butter yaki sauce served with miso soup and steamed rice

3. Beef Shagayaki Set
– Sliced beef fried with ginger sauce and onions served with miso soup and steamed rice

4. Tempura Bento Set
– An assortment of deep-fried seafood and vegetables served with miso soup and steamed rice

5. Chicken Teriyaki Set
– Pan-fried chicken cooked with Teriyaki sauce, served with miso soup and steamed rice

6. Korean Rice Cake and Dumpling Soup Set
– Korean rice cake with kimchi and kurobuta pork in hot soup served with dumplings

7. Saba Teriyaki Set
– Deep fried mackerel fish with teriyaki sauce, served with miso soup and steamed rice

We have only tried the beef and sashimi set so far. We’re happy to report that both tasted great! The tempura, Korean rice cake and Saba set all sounds really yummy as well. If you’ve tried these, let us know through the comments section below!

The beef was not too salty and the gravy went really well with the rice – which by the way was exceptionally delicious. Probably due to the variety of Japanese rice grains that TGM uses . As for the sashimi, the slices tasted fresh and the gyozas were a really nice complement to this bento set. Yum!

On a separate visit, we also tried out the Salmon Bento Set. The portion was so GENEROUS! 3 huge slabs (not slices) of salmon – though the teriyaki was a little on the salty side. As for the Sashimi Bento Set, it somehow got better! The salmon sashimi was from the belly portion which was oozing with fatty goodness. Likewise, the firm swordfish sashimi also gave off hints of oily goodness on each bite. Definitely our first choice when we visit TGM the next time!

As mentioned earlier, TGM is a Japanese Korean Cuisine restaurant and not an airport lounge per se. However, if you do have unlimited priority pass lounge access, this would be the perfect place to enjoy a great meal before heading to the lounges to await for your next flight out. Another perk is that there’s no limit to how long you can stay here. If you happen to be waiting for a flight that is more than 3 hours out and you only have 1 priority pass, you can choose to stay here – top up the matcha tea 😉 Enjoy!
