As we were pretty early this day, we were able to enjoy the tranquil ambience and beautiful sea views while enjoying our food and drinks. To order food at The Patio SG, you can either scan the QR code on the table or make your orders at the self-service machine by the entrance of The Patio SG…

The reason why we didn’t make our orders via the QR code was because there was no reception for us here. There was complimentary wi-fi available but we decided that it was easier to order and pay directly at the machine. This time, we took advantage of the Happy Hours for Guinness draft beers at $10++ before 7pm. Thereafter, we enjoyed the all night $9.8++ Hoegaarden

What We Had at The Patio SG

It's Satay $10++ Combo from The Patio SG
It’s Satay $10++ Combo from The Patio SG

We started off with the $10++ Satay Combo from It’s Satay at The Patio SG. You’ll be able to choose from 3 meats of beef, lamb and chicken. This time, we chose 5 sticks of beef and 5 sticks of chicken. We enjoyed the chicken satay while the beef satay was a little tough. The strange part was the satays weren’t completely hot. Perhaps we had waited a little too long to work through all 10 satay sticks. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the satay sauce (which was slightly on the spicy side) as well as the rice ketupat and sweet onion complements.

The Patio SG Review: Crispy Kangkong ($8)
The Patio SG Review: Crispy Kangkong ($8)

The Crispy Kangkong ($8) at The Patio SG was probably our favourite bar grub this evening. The tempura was crisp and had a great taste while the kangkong was fresh. The portion was also rather generous – though we noted that in essence, probably only a couple of stalks of kangkong was used. However, with the excellent batter, this dish was worth every penny. All other tables we observed also ordered the Crispy Kangkong from The Patio as well.

The Patio SG Review: Garlic Chicken ($12) portion
The Patio SG Review: Garlic Chicken ($12) portion

We also ordered the Garlic Chicken ($12) from The Patio SG this evening. We ordered the larger portion and it was rather generous as well. In terms of the garlic taste, it was rather mild. But we totally enjoyed this dish because of the spicy chili that came along with it while it is served piping hot from the kitchen.
