About The Drunken Poet Irish Pub

One of the reason why we chose to dine at the Drunken Poet was because of the 50% Eatigo deal available. This meant that the dishes that we ordered, such as the beef stew and Poet’s Burger, was reduced to $12 and $11 respectively. Of course, we also read about the Irish vibes that The Drunken Poet exudes, with barrels used as tables…

What we had at The Drunken Poet Irish Pub

The other reason we visited The Drunken Poet is because of its Irish beers on tap! This time, we had the Guinness Draft on tap which went for $20++ for 2 pints. Not too bad a deal. We also ordered the “must-try” Guinness Beef Brisket Stew as well as the Poet’s Burger. Retailed at $24 and $22 respectively. Eatigo helped to half the price.

The Guinness Beef Brisket Stew was excellent. You could taste the depth of the flavours with hints of the Guinness. The brisket was tender which went really well with the rich and thick stew. The homemade beer bread topped off this experience. It was unlike any bread that we’ve tried. Because of it’s dry and crisp texture, once coated with the stew, the beer bread took the dish to a whole new level. Definitely a “must-try” with the homemade beer bread. If you’ve ordered this dish before, let us know in the comments section below, whether you could ask for seconds on the homemade beer bread. 😋

The Poet’s Burger came with a juicy beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, relish and crispy onions. Loved the patty which was sizeable and juicy, with no hints of any sinews that made chewing difficult. All the various ingredients came together with various textures and flavours on each bite of the burger. Perfect.

Happy Hour takes place daily till 8pm where you’ll be able to get $2 off the half pints. However, on certain days, there are other beers and bottled spirits deals. This time, the 2 for $20++ Guinness Draft made excellent pairing with the dishes that we ordered. Overall, a great meal and great time of conversations with each other.
