Sandbar at Surfers Paradise was where we headed to during our visit to Gold Coast. After visiting Gold Coast and finally stepping foot on Surfers Paradise after so many years, it was cool to finally verify that Surfers Paradise does have one of the finest sand in all the beaches we’ve visited all over the world! Check out this video to see what we mean!

After our time at the beach, we headed to Sandbar right along the beach of Surfers Paradise for our dinner!
What We had at Sandbar Surfers Paradise

Sandbar Surfers Paradise has both al fresco and inside seats. This time, we chose to be seated outside because the weather was rather cool. Also, we were able to people watch while we enjoyed the food at Sandbar. Speaking of food, Sandbar is known for western selection such as gourmet burgers, fish and chips, steaks and seafood. Also, they are touted to have the “largest range of beers in Gold Coast”. Hence, we were a little spoilt for choice on what we were to have.
In the end, after “inspecting” the menu, we settled for the Rump Steak ($36 for 250g – Grain fed, Angus, marble score 2+, South East QLD Served with chips & salad or mashed potato & vegetables, choice of gravy, mushroom or pepper sauces) and the Prosciutto Pizza ($26 – Ricotta, honey, roquette leaves, caramelised onions, balsamic, mozzarella). We also walked over to the bar and ordered the Byron Bay Lager ($12) as we hit a little snag on the orders via their QR code. After ordering, we checked on our order history but nothing was recorded. Hence, we went over to buy to order our beer and also to verify the order since we checked that our credit card had already recorded the transaction. Thankfully, after a quick check with the kitchen, the order did get through and before long our orders came…

We actually enjoyed all of the selection that we ordered this evening. The Rump Steak ($36 – 250g) was tender, juicy and had the smokiness from the grills. But what really surprised us was the Prosciutto Pizza ($26) which had an explosion of flavours, including the caramelised onion, balsamic vinegar and saltiness from the cheese as well, fattiness from the prosciutto and fragrance from the olive oil. Definitely a must-order when you’re here at Sandbar Surfers Paradise!

Besides the small hiccup that we faced during the ordering process, we must say that we had a great time at Sandbar. The cool weather in the evening coupled with great pizza, beers and steak at Sandbar are excellent complements when you’re at Surfers Paradise! If you’re wondering where to dine at Surfers Paradise the next time you’re there, you won’t regret if you choose to wine and dine at Sandbar!
