Tom While staying at the Majestic Malacca, we were introduced by our friendly receptionist to visit Ta Chi House for Nonya makan. According to her, Ta Chi House is about “5 minutes” away by foot. In actual fact? 2 minutes ONLY!

To be honest, we thought that the prices of food at Ta Chi House is a little steep. Even though the total damage is about 50.25RM ($18 SGD), the portions of most of the items were quite small. Nonetheless, we thought that the ngoh hiong and cendol are items that you should try. Of course, the house favourite is laksa. If you’ve tried it, let us know in the comments section below!

If you’re staying at the Majestic Malacca, we’d say that you can try some of the dishes that we have mentioned (including the laksa). Otherwise, we’d probably give Ta Chi House a miss and go for Restoran Ole Sayang or Restoran Nancy’s Kitchen instead.
