CapitaSpring Opening Hours and Restaurants
Before we dive into our review of CapitaSpring, it is useful to note the opening hours of Sky Garden and Green Oasis at CapitaSpring:

8:30am – 10:30am
2:30pm – 6:00pm

From this information, there are 2 important things to note before visiting.
Firstly, visiting hours are only limited to weekdays from Mondays to Fridays (excluding Public Holidays). This means that a weekend trip to the premise would not be possible unless you are a restaurant patron.
Secondly, the public can only visit the premise for free before 6pm. Anytime after would be reserved for restaurant preference. But if you’re intending to visit restaurants at CapitaSpring, here they are…
There are two restaurants at the 51st Storey. KAARLA that serves coastal Australian cuisine and OUMI that serves modern Japanese Kappo. Kappo literally means “to cut and to cook” which translates to a multi-course meal determined by the chef. There’s also Sol and Luna located at the 17th Storey. All restaurants open for lunch (till 2:30pm) and dinner till 12am.
But do note that meals here can be rather hefty (with minimum spends). Nonetheless, they do provide options for those who can only visit after public hours or during the weekends.
CapitaSpring 51st Storey Sky Garden – Breathtaking Views Around Singapore
After arriving at the lobby of CapitaSpring, we were greeted with a giant LED screen…
While waiting for the lift to bring us up to the Sky Garden, we were mesmerised by the cool animation that flowed seamlessly through this floor-to-ceiling LED screen. Reminded us of our visit to Comcast Centre in Philadelphia.
A tip for visiting CapitaSpring would be to first visit the 51st storey Sky Garden observatory. Once you’re done here, head down to level 20 (not level 17) and stroll your way down to level 17. This is because Green Oasis spans 4 storeys. Wow!
After all the “ear-popping” sensation (this tells you that you’re ascending to the top!), you’ll be greeted at the lobby with this directory, the greenery and the beautiful views all around Singapore…
The views are simply amazing. Moreover, it’s free for the public to enjoy. What we love about the views here is that you can take photos with the iconic Marina Bay Sands. Imagine if you were to head up to Marina Bay Sands, you’d not be able to take a photo with it. This is why we recommend heading up to Top of the Rock if you want to have photos with the iconic Empire State Building!

We went at about 10am in the morning and it started to get a wee bit crowded after we arrived. So do plan to arrive earlier to get those “nobody-in-the-background” shots of the beautiful arches and architectural designs at the roof top level of CapitaSpring!

CapitaSpring 17th to 20th Storey Green Oasis – Cool Sheltered Outdoor Gardens
After our visit to the CapitaSpring Sky Garden, our next stop was Green Oasis. Originally, we thought that the Green Oasis was at level 17 but in the lift, another group of visitors pressed level 20 instead. So we asked and they told us that it would be easier to stop at level 20 and walk downwards. This was when we realised that Green Oasis actually spans 4 levels from 17th to 20th storey!
Green Oasis, as the name suggests has lots of greenery that spans these 4 storeys and does live up to its reputation. However, the views here are definitely not as nice as that of the Sky Garden. Nonetheless, there are several nice spots to chillax…
There are several things that we noticed at Green Oasis. There are many nice places to relax or do some discussions with friends, colleagues. For instance, during our visit, we saw that the nests at level 19 were occupied by students who were doing some studying (cum park-tor (dating)) and that there were power supplies sprinkled all throughout the Green Oasis. We also noticed that the entire space was very cool, despite it being a rather hot day outside. The large fans as well as the open and well-ventilated space does work wonders. There are also several comfy seats located at certain corners of the Green Oasis – perfect for those afternoon snooze (without your colleagues noticing). Lastly, there’s even a urban gym for urbanites to squeeze in a little bit of time to flex those muscles.
A really well-thought design. Plus, all these are absolutely free for the public to enjoy!
CapitaSpring Market Street Hawker Centre – Affordable Hawker Fare in the City
To make it a really integrated building, a hawker centre was included! Located at level 2 and 3 of CapitaSpring, Market Street Hawker Centre serves up authentic hawker food right in the heart of CBD – without mark-up of prices due to its location!
We literally circled around the building, by following the signs and arrived at the escalators to Market Street Hawker Centre. There are 2 levels of food choices at this hawker centre and you’ll find your usual hawker fare here that range from chicken rice to fried kway teow, lor mee, curry rice as well as muslim food choices as well! Sadly though, we were not able to find any fried hokkien mee 😭
During this visit, we tried the Wei Nan Wang Hokkien Lor Mee (which translates to “Unforgettable Taste” Lor Mee) and Ah Liang Ipoh Hor Fun at Market Street Hawker Centre…
We definitely recommend the Wei Nan Wang Hokkien Lor Mee if you’re visiting Market Street Hawker Centre. At $4.5, you’ll be able to get the large portion that comes with loads of ingredients such as pork, pork skin, crispy bits and meatballs – perfect for someone of huge appetite. Moreover, the stall is run by a couple in their 80s who carry out the cooking like clock-work. Having been hawkers since 1975, you can see how they interact with each other with minimal words used, cooking up each bowl of order with such precision. A real joy to see.
We also tried the Ah Liang Ipoh Hor Fun next stall. It is priced slightly higher at $5.80 for the normal version plus 2 dumplings. The portion is suitable for one person but we found the chicken to be too little. Probably due to the recent chicken ban? 🤔 Nonetheless, the hor fun was really taong and the gravy has been adjusted to suit local-palettes. Enjoyed this dish as well. Reminded us of how delicious Ipoh’s hor fun are…
